Eastern Ontario’s new OSA ORNCA Academy also welcomes Gittens and McCurdy to growing staff ranks, and adds League 1 training to the Academy’s Kingston program lineup 

 Belleville,  Ontario:  The Kingston-Belleville FC (KBFC) Pro Soccer Academy – the only Ontario Soccer Association-accredited ORNCA Academy east of greater Toronto – announced today that it will be conducting League 1 Ontario open tryouts in October and November in three Eastern Ontario cities for boys aged 17 years and older and girls aged 16 years and older who aspire to play semi-professional League 1 or Canadian or U.S. university or college soccer.

In addition to the open League 1 Ontario tryouts slated for Belleville, Kingston and Ottawa/Gatineau, the KBFC Pro Soccer Academy also welcomed two more experienced coaches and professional soccer players to its growing Academy staff – Garth Gittens, former Algonquin College Women’s Head Coach and OCAA 2010 Coach of the Year, and Ryan McCurdy,  former Kingston FC pro soccer defender (2012 to 2014)

Online registration for the KBFC Pro Soccer Academy’s new KickStart, KickSpark and KickSmart Fall/Winter soccer programs is now underway at www.kingstonfc.ca

  Kingston, ON – The Kingston-Belleville FC (KBFC) Pro Soccer Academy today proudly unveiled its bold new Academy logo that it hopes will quickly come to represent the finest pro-style soccer training and development available to young soccer players in Eastern Ontario.

In addition, KBFC also announced today that talented pro soccer player and Kingston FC standout striker, Mademba Ba, will join the staff of the Academy and bring his skills as the two-time Canadian Soccer League leading goal scorer (2013 & 2014) and Player of the Year in 2014 to assist in pro soccer training and development for youth Academy registrants.

The KBFC Pro Soccer Academy was designated last month by the Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) as the province’s 22nd Ontario Registered Non-Club Academy (ORNCA), a prized, standards-based designation reserved for elite soccer development academies.

Kingston-Belleville FC (KBFC) Pro Soccer Academy also unveils new nationally-certified Training Staff and a blue-chip Academy Advisory Board to help guide its “youth-centred” operations

Kingston, ON – Following on the heels of its recent successful Ontario Soccer Association (OSA) accreditation bid, the Kingston-Belleville FC (KBFC) Pro Soccer Academy today announced its inaugural slate of Fall/Winter elite soccer development training programs which will take place between October and March in both Kingston and Belleville.

Lorne Abugov, General Manager of the KBFC Pro Soccer Academy and Mike Akai, Technical Director of the Academy today unveiled a three-pronged indoor pro soccer development program line-up geared towards both elite players in the region aged 11 and older and recreational soccer players aged 5 to 10 years of age.

The programs, which are open to all boys and girls within the Kingston-Belleville-Quinte region, are entitled Kickstart, Kickspark and Kicksmart, and each is described in the Schedule to this News Release.

The Kingston-Belleville FC Pro Soccer Academy (which will continue the work of the Kingston City Soccer Academy) will shortly be releasing information about the upcoming Spring/Summer Academy soccer programs which run from April to August 2015. The New KBFC Pro Soccer Academy has now announced its first summer program – the 2nd annual Soccer Summer Camp for youngsters 5 up to 16 years of age run in conjunction with Queen’s University Athletics.

Kingston-Belleville FC Pro Soccer Academy will be continuing the success last summer of the Kingston City Soccer Academy, and we look forward to bringing professional soccer development programs to Kingston, Belleville and the region and raising the level of soccer talent using skills and techniques that have won our Club two consecutive Canadian Soccer league championships! Kingston FC Announces the Creation of the Kingston-Belleville FC Pro Soccer Academy

News Release from Kingston FC – September 11th, 2014

KINGSTON – Kingston FC – the region’s only professional sports team – announced today the creation of the Kingston-Belleville FC Pro Soccer Academy, a division of the pro Club that will offer a proven Europe-based soccer training model geared to elite and professional soccer development for Kingston, Belleville and Quinte area youth aged 5 to 18.

In addition, the Club will continue the work of the Kingston City Soccer Academy (“KCSA”), a successful grass-roots soccer development organization that provided top-flight soccer training and development in Kingston and the region for youngsters between the ages of 4 and 12.

Relying upon professional coaches and players from the Kingston FC Pro Soccer teams to work with the youngsters, the new Kingston-Belleville FC Pro Soccer Academy will create a development progression path for young Kingston, Belleville and area soccer players from five years of age straight up to the professional ranks.

Kingston FC Pro Soccer School 2014

Hey future Kingston and region soccer stars, come train at the Kingston FC Pro Soccer School! You will work with our professional staff, learning everything from basic skills to advanced techniques.

Sessions will be held twice a week on Tuesdays and Fridays from 6:00 -7:30 PM at Queen’s University ARC and PEC gyms. The first session kicks off on March 4th, 2014. The cost is $200 plus HST ($226) for 16 sessions through March and into April.

Kingston FC Pro Soccer Announces Private Trial in Ottawa and Open Try-Out in Kingston to Complete the 2014 Club Roster

CSL 2013 League Champion pro club looking for local talent to improve depth for a second consecutive title chase

Kingston, Ontario – January 2, 2014: Kingston FC – Kingston’s only professional sports team – will hold a private by invitation trial on January 24, 2014 in Ottawa and an open try-out in late February or early-March 2014 in Kingston, the club announced today.  Details on the Kingston open tryout will be announced shortly by the club.

Details of the Ottawa by-invitation tryout are as follows:

The date: Friday, January 24, 2014 in Ottawa, Canada

The location: The Louis Riel Sports Dome, 1659 Bearbrook Road, Gloucester, Ontario K1B 4N3; click here for directions.

Who should attend: Only players who receive an email invitation from Kingston FC and who confirm their intention to register for the trial may attend at the January 24, 2014 trial at the Louis Riel Dome in Ottawa.

“The Ottawa trial is our chance to invite and to see many professional and amateur players who have already contacted Kingston FC seeking a spot on our roster” says Kingston FC club Chairman Lorne Abugov. “The open tryout in Kingston in March will be our chance to take a close look at the best local soccer talent in the region.”

RMCC Varsity Soccer Prep Program

Kingston FC is pleased to participate in a new Elite soccer training program aimed at High School aged players offered by the Royal Military College Soccer Coaching Staff.

Dates: Mondays, November 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th

Times: 14-15 year olds: 17:30–19:00hrs

16-18 year olds: 18:30-20:00hrs

Keeper Clinic: 18:30-20:00hrs

Cost: Regular/Ordinary Members – $96.00

Associate Members – $120.00

Location: Kingston Military Community Sports Dome

This program will be conducted by the RMCC Men’s Soccer coaching staff, along with Colm Muldoon, Head Coach of Kingston FC Pro Soccer. The goalkeeper clinic will be conducted by Andrei Badescu, Keeper Coach for Kingston FC Pro Soccer.

Overview: The program is being offered to high school-aged players who are looking for advanced development, in hopes of playing high school or varsity soccer in University/College. This program is directed at accomplished players who currently play at a competitive level.
