Late goal gives Montreal Impact Academy 2-1 win in Kingston

A late strike by Montreal Impact Academy midfielder Dominique Morin gave his side a 2- 1 come-from-behind victory over Kingston FC, while Windsor Stars held Toronto Croatia to a 1-1 tie and Brantford Galaxy battled to a 1-1 tie with St. Catharines Wolves, three games in the CSL First Division Saturday.

Kingston’s Mademba Ba opened the scoring at the CaraCo Home Field Invista Centre in Kingston, he took a pass from Edgar Soglo to slot the ball into the bottom left corner of the net past Montreal goalkeeper Jason Beaulieu at the 32nd minute mark, a 1-0 lead at the break.

Montreal defender Maxim Tissot scored the equalizer at 73 minutes and Morin put the ball past Kingston goalkeeper Shane Lopez at 88 minutes for the winning goal, a 2-1 score in favour of Montreal at the final whistle.

Montreal Impact Academy improve to a 6-3-5 WLT record for 23 points, while Kingston are at 3-13-1 for 10 points.
